EMS MCI Drills - Fun For Who ?

I know just about everyone has participated in a MCI Drill , but who really has more fun ? The emergency responders or the kids or young adults playing the "victims" ? Some of the shows we put on are to be taken seriously like "Every 15 Minutes" ,
"Safe and Sober Graduation " , or "Prom Night" . But for the rescuer that has been
there for real it is likely to hit home . It is not fun for them .

Shooting in Washington DC

Hi all,

I have been shooting in Washington D.C. since April 2, today is my 18th 24 hour tour.

I spent the first week in D.C. We got a few good fires and a lot of saves with 6 Engine 4 Truck, Squad 2, 10 Engine and Truck 13 as well as 26 Engine and Truck 15.

We did a burn out at training in the Flashover box testing out the top of the line Argus E2V Thermal Imaging Device, very cool. I was in the box doing the inside shoot with my new HD Sony Camera and WOW! You'll see the shots in the up coming Kentland series starting late 2008.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the first series from San Francisco FD. I especially enjoy the training segments. I always encourage my clients to view The Battalion. My specialty is Career Coaching for Firefighters and Fire Officer development.

2 FIREFIGHTERS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY-COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OHIO

A veteran Colerain Township (Hamilton County, Ohio) Fire Captain and newly hired Firefighter were killed in the Line of Duty this morning when they reportedly fell through the first floor of a working house fire in Colerain Township. Killed were Capt. Robin Broxterman, 37, a 17-year veteran of the department and the township’s first female Captain. She was the mother of two children.
