FILMING IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Tulefog — Tue, 07/29/2008 - 17:02

Battalion Members,

Firehouse Expo was really cool, lot's of great equipment and new products to keep you first responders safe, I'll have more on that cool stuff later.

I am filming in Washington D.C. currently. I was with Engine 6 Truck 4 last night, not much to report but a view firefighters told me they could not few the webisodes on the East Coast.

If you do not have FLASH 9, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VIEW THE EAST COAST OR FUTURE WEBISODES. We now shoot in HD and you need Flash 9 to view both D.C. Fire and EMS and the Kentland Fire Company. ...Read more

Kentland's Back this Friday at 5:00PM PST

Tulefog — Wed, 07/16/2008 - 22:26

I'm sure some of you have seen the press about Kentland...don't always believe what the press tells you..

Don't believe what you read nor judge them from a tape from four years ago...no one knows the circumstances of that day...many departments have gotten in trouble for much worse and many have never been caught from way back when, when everyone could not afford a camera or have a phone with a built in camera. Could you imagine if cameras were around back...let's say twenty years ago...

Remember..I'm the guy with the camera and I shoot reality. ...Read more

Voice Over Mistake - We know...NO MORE DOWNLOADS...

Tulefog — Sat, 07/12/2008 - 21:31

Battalion Viewers,

We are sorry for the incorrect Voice Over in this Webisode with Engine 26/Truck 15.

The Voice Over calls a Medical Call with Engine 26 and we see J.B. driving Truck 15 to all the calls. We will correct this as soon as we can during our very tight and under staffed production schedule...just telling it like it is.

We have offered free downloads for over a year and we have given over 20,000 downloads away since the first of the year and can no longer afford the cost of Bandwidth. ...Read more

5:00 PM PST - DC FIRE AND ENGINE 26 TRUCK 15 AMBULANCE 26-Platoon #1

Tulefog — Fri, 07/11/2008 - 16:50

WERE BACK!!!

This weeks webisode is more on the EMS side with Engine 26, Truck 15 and Ambulance 26 of Platoon #1 on some of the more difficult calls; helping people in their time of need.

I've only seen it, I've never lived it...but I know it takes someone special to do it.

"What's it like to place a child in an ambulance at 10:00 in the morning and have to create a story in your head that the child will be fine, and then off to the next call, and the next call and..."

This series is not about fires or Victims but the First Responders that see it all, all day and all night long. ...Read more

Funeral

firefighterbds — Wed, 07/09/2008 - 22:31

Today I have just attended my first firefighter's funeral. I hope when it is my time to go I have at least half the response this brother had. At last count there were thirty-one different departments there, not counting his own. With the farthest being over 350 miles away. In the church where they held the funeral there was standing room only. The procession was at least three to four miles long. Which only proves that our brother was dearly loved.
