Dear Battalion Viewers,
I am here with Engine 36 and we just returned from "fire on the stove" where a resident burnt his Steak.
It's raining like hell here in Milwaukee. This is one great department; a lot of experience and a lot of hustle.
The schools have began to close due to the Swine Flu and it's not getting better.
I met with the Chief Holton today, a real Fireman's fireman. He is dealing with the same cutbacks as our entire Nation.

We begin filming with the Milwaukee Wisconsin Fire Department starting tomorrow night at 7:00, starting at Engine 5.
This will be our first Mid-West Series and we are very excited to be invited by the Chief of the Department as will as the City of Milwaukee.

Around 1545 today the tones for Strathmore Rural went off. They didn't come in clear, sounded like our own tones, so I responded to the Hall to await instructions. Found out that it was Strathmore's tones and not our own. Started closing the bay doors and just listened to the dispatch. It was a grass fire about 20km East of Strathmore. ...Read more
