August 2009

Dear Battalion Viewers:
The five-day-old wildfire burning out of control in the foothills of the Los Angeles forest has claimed its first victims today, two firefighters whose vehicle plummeted off the side of a road.
The crew of the Battalion Series send their condolences to the families of these firefighters and pray for the safety of all first responders on-scene.
We are thankful that the cut-backs in the California budgets have not restricted the efforts of all departments involved in the fighting of this and all fires currently blazing in our home state.
We are not a news agency and our currently not filming with any of the departments involved, so we will not have any coverage of this devastating wildfire...we wish we could.
Please be safe out there...
Sincerely,
DRF

Dear Battalion Viewers:
On September 1st, all Battalion Members will receive a link via their Email to the Contest Questioner.

As you know, we are on vacation for the first time. We are also taking this time to prepare for the judging of the Contest in the first week of September.
We will return with the balance of the Milwaukee Series and then the Premiere of our Series with San Diego Fire and Rescue.
Lot's more to come...
Be safe...
Sincerely,
DRF

We are finding it harder and harder every day to be properly prepaired for lies ahead. As the change in the economy each dept find their finacial values and the overal miney they have to spend to disappear. Dosnt matter weither or not its something small or a large peace of equipment. Money concerns have been closing stations and relaeasing many jobs as cut backs. Is there a way. Unfortunately many more deptarments are pushing towards fundraisers but...does it work and is it effective in the current times?

Battalion Viewers:
The Battalion contest has taken off and their is not much time before it ends.
Sign up and become a Battalion Member, it may become worth more that you think.
One of the cool prizes: the FoxFury Helmet Light: I have personally tested the Helmet Light System and it's killer. In the last show, I used it on my helmet to light up inside the house where you see the first responders at work doing the overhaul...love it.
You will be seeing it on the helmets of first responders in future webisodes.
Check them out at www.foxfury.com and become a Battalion Member and win one, it's easy...
Click on the Contest Banner on the Right to read how easy it is; then click on the link and sign up.
This Friday, the Milwaukee Fire Department and Engine 24.
