Future Cal Fire episodes

Jace Sandstrom — Sat, 01/16/2010 - 13:25

I wanted to thank you for bringing such an amazing web site to the internet and hopefully someday it will be televised. I am a firefighter for cal fire in Santa Cruz California in the CZU unit. We were extremely busy this year with an 8000 + acre fire in our back yard which i spent 21 days straight on and 4000 + acre fire in the same area the year before. I also saw my fair share of medicals, structures, and auto accedents/fires this year. We are the third largest department in the U.S. and respond to over 300,000 calls a year. We have BLS wildland stations in more rural areas and ALS stations in city regions and an amazing response for air attack, dozers, inmate crews, water rescue in some coastal units and haz-mat. What we do with our man power and equipment is astonishing. We do it all and i would love for the world to see what we are all about. Just thrown the idea out there for either a wildland section, or your next west coast series. ...Read more
