Dear Battalion Members,
We are currently filming with the Oletha Fire Department in Kansas, very near the Shawnee Fire Department, and they just lost one of their members. Our condolences go out to the Glaser Family.
Firefighter John Glaser, age 33, was a six year veteran of the Shawnee Fire Department. John died fighting a house fire the evening of 5/22/10.
John was separated from his crew and was found twelve minutes into the mayday call. John left behind a wife and two children.
We ask for a moment of silence in his honor.
Be safe.

Dear Battalion Viewers,
Webisode #4 with Central Pierce Fire & Rescue is ready for your viewing.
You all know that we film 24/7 for two-weeks with each department and we bring you a 24 hour tour with each crew...this is a 24 with Engine Company 66 and it's crew on this day.
Firefighters love to fight fires, but the job is taking care of people. In the US, firefighters are first responders, the first to be on scene...we continue with their stories and their 24...it's not an easy job...
Be safe.

Dear Battalion Viewers,
Central Pierce Fire & Rescue webisode #3 is now ready for veiwing on Apple computers. PC users, please return later in the evening for access to this webisode.
We continue to attempt to have the new webisodes ready by 7:00PM PST; we hope to add staff in the near future to attain that goal.
This webisode will be the start of a four week EMS Series with Central Pierce Fire and Rescue.
Each week you will meet some of the most professional Firefighters/EMS personal around, these folks are about patient care...I can't say enough about these crews.
This is why we support all the first responders of the United States and around the world...your are saving lives...
Please be safe.
Sincerely,
DRF

Dear Battalion Viewers,
The next few webisodes with Central Pierce Fire & Rescue, were some of the most difficult to film for me...I saw a lot of dealth on this one...and I am not a firefighter...
The next four weeks are really about what first responders see day in and day out, and these are things no one should see; not even once...
I know you all want to see fires...and they are coming...
But let's focus on the job...the job is saving lives and not putting yourself in danger...and on every medical call, the dangers are out there...be safe...
