Did you notice that the Orange Rescue Combi tool in the San Diego Webisode crashed and burned on that call…

I am not an expert, but I was informed by Allen Discount, a representative for a very high quality rescue tool company, that some manufactures of Rescue Tools products are not, excuse my pun, “cutting it” out there in the field.

I am going to call them “mixed metals” and they are very light, by have a lot of strength due to structure design. That is one of the many challenges of the manufactures of Rescue Tools; to keep up with the new developments of these new combination metals.

You see it in this webisode that even on this older Nissan, the Orange Combi Cutter could not cut-it…

If not for Truck 4 showing up on scene with the Amkus Rescue Tools; it may have been much more difficult to remove the victim from this vehicle.

We have a “Rescue” Section on our website and we plan to focus more on these types of rescues.

I have been told by some Rescue Professionals that combination tools rarely work correctly, they can’t cut and the can’t spread enough as you just saw in the San Diego Webisode.
