Through the efforts of Pierce Manufacturing, and its Dealer Huges Fire Equipment http://www.hughesfire.com in Springfield Oregon, we were guided in the direction of Central Pierce Fire & Rescue; and what a great direction it was...

This is really a department that was merged together and what a great job they do at saving lives and protecting their citizens, and they always do it with a smile.

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue (also known as Pierce County Fire District 6) was formed in 1996, following a merger of Fire District 6 (Parkland/Midland), Fire District 7 (Spanaway) and Fire District 9 (Summit/South Hill).

The attached photos are looking out of their newly acquired Helicopter. It is on loan from a resident and is now being used for Rescues, and as a major tool for their Wildland Fire needs.

This exercise: The pilot lands in the stream as if their was a person needing medical assistance. They would be dropping off a Paramedic in this case. In this exercise, they drop off Battalion Chief Kondra and will return to pick him up.
