Southern California is once again a blaze and much needed resources have arrived. The wind is fierce as usual this time of year and the citizens are evacuating their homes as I type.

I have received a bunch of emails as to if we will be filming here since our office is here; we will not. This morning I left a message for a Battalion Chief whom I have spoken with before and whom is trying to be of help; I know he must be very busy on the line but that was all I could do to see if I could get access today...it is difficult to watch it on television and not be filming.

This would have been perfect for our Wild Land Fire Series... We have attempted to get permission to film with the County of Los Angeles Fire Department for months.

I was to be allowed to attend classes at my request; I want to learn how to be safe while filming wild land fires; but it did not happen.

This is a great department and I hope in time to have the opportunity to show the world how these guys at L.A. County handle a huge territory, a massive department and the coordination when additional resources respond at our time our need; they are amazing.
