Tulefog — Sun, 02/01/2009 - 18:28
THIS WEEKS WEEKLY SERIES MAY BE THE LAST OF OUR WEEKLY SERIES; IT'S WITH ENGINE 12 AND WASHINGTON D.C. FIRE AND EMS; and a very busy firefighter in both D.C. and Prince Georges County.
As of February 1, 2009, the Battalion Series will only offer special webisodes at different times each month; it will be announced on this Tulefog Blog and emailed to Battalion Members as to it's time and date.
If you want to know before each new webisdoe, you must now become a Battalion Member.
We will no longer be offering FREE DOWNLOADS. We have given away over 60,000 free downloads since our series started in 2007 and we can no longer afford to give our shows away for Free. Most will be availible very soon in our store on DVD. Maybe be HD someday.
If not for the folks at Pierce Manufacturing, we would not be here today.
I would ask each and everyone of you to thank them personnally for not only supporting this series, but for building some of the safest fire equipment in the world; they save firefighters lives and as you have seen in our series, still in use after 30 years service, that's an investment in your department. Also check out their great videos on our video page.
I really ask you to please contact these companies and thank them...it would mean a lot to us here at Tule Fog.
We have had the full support of a hand full of manufactures in the fire industry; many of the best and safest manufactures had been contacted but they found it better to stay with thier same old advertising and did not believe you all were out there looking for thier products and services.
So please, let all our wonderful sponsors know that you enjoyed the series, and thank them now.
ARA Safety, Geo Command, ARGUS E2v, Command Light, Cutters Edge Chain Saws, Code 3, Dragon Fire Gloves, Fire-Rescue Magazine, www.fire-rescue.com www.firerescue1.com www.flashovertv.com Tactical Incorporated, and State Farm Insurance in San Francisco Californina, for they have been the ones that brought you this series.
If they are not on this list, they did not want to support this series and that is one of the reasons the series may discontinue, our future is unknown. The economy did not help in anyway...but it was people like Tom from Cutters Edge and Roger from Command Light that helped us from the start.
Enough of that...
It's time to order your gear if you are going to get it. We have our hat order in for the flexfit and will be offering the golf-type closure for less money in the coming weeks. What we are offering now, the flexfite, will be going up in price in two weeks.
For Battalion members, the current price for all items includes UPS Ground Fright for Free from February 1st through February 15th, to anywhere in the United States.
Check back at the end of next week to see the new hats and some price changes with the our posters.
We may end up on a television network in the coming year...who knows.
More to come.
Be safe.
Sincerely,
DRF
