Funeral
firefighterbds — Wed, 07/09/2008 - 22:31
Today I have just attended my first firefighter's funeral. I hope when it is my time to go I have at least half the response this brother had. At last count there were thirty-one different departments there, not counting his own. With the farthest being over 350 miles away. In the church where they held the funeral there was standing room only. The procession was at least three to four miles long. Which only proves that our brother was dearly loved.

As a result of my accident I was left without legs below the knees and a desire to still serve. Good news is the two firefighters I was attempting rescue on also survived. ...Read more

This website is a great thing. It is nice to have a website that not only lets you communicate with others in the service but also watch different departments in action.
