Our Holiday Special Webisode is about what we think is a big part of these Holidays, giving to those who need it most. Wishing all of our viewers a safe, warm and Wonderful Holiday Season...

This webisode is about an invitation we received to film with a fire department in Mexico. We thought we were going to film our second Spanish speaking series when invited by then Assistant Fire Chief Ignacio Lozoya of the Mexicali Fire Department in Baja California Mexico, after the 1st Twenty-Four Hours, we were told that we were not there to film their series, but to save them; we had no idea what that meant, we found out very quickly.

Some of these photos tell a small part of the story.          

The young man with the white tape around his boots had to borrow a helmet from the Captain on this structure fire call, they had no SCBA's, then had very few hand tools, it took a long time to gain entry, the hoses leaked water, when inside, a man was deceased; we knew we had to do something...and over eight months and the help of the Westampton Fire Department in New Jersey, Prince Georges County Fire/EMS in Maryland, and Vince Moffet from Arroyo Training in New Mexico. I called Luka Lojk, who was the Senior Director of Global Marketing for SCOTT Safety at the time, who said "how can we help?
" sent Twenty (20) complete packs: hydrostatic tested bottles, refurbished packs with new masks as well as technical support from Mexico City to train them to service their gear.

This webisode as features the Assistant Chief trying to get funding from the city as well as his response to a gas leak and leads up to the beginning of Firefighter Day showing how they party in celebration the night before the dedication.  

We were blessed to be instrumental in helping to keep these firefighters safe to go out and safe lives. Please investigate as to how your department can donate gear, tools, apparatus; anything that can be used safely; their are departments around the world that need what some departments throw away. You can also watch our series with the Santa Marta Fire Department in Colombia to see what that 99% volunteer department has. They use a phone truck with a bucket from China for their tower...
